Walter is the Co-Founder and President of LongTail, Inc. Walter’s passion is bringing fulfillment & logistics solutions to brands, where formally there were roadblocks and unrealized opportunity. He has worked with thousands of brands ranging from fortune 500 companies to emerging natural & specialty brands. With a unique skill set that includes supply chain distribution of pallets to mass merchandisers such as Wal-Mart stores, to shipping units to consumers of top eTailers like Amazon. Further experience and skills include, Category Management, Go-to-Market Development and  eCommerce packaging solutions of small parcel shipments to consumers.

Prior to taking the helm at LongTail, Walter was at the forefront of the CPG eCommerce industry. Beginning in 1999, Walter was instrumental in the founding of KeHE Distributors’ Eye Level Solutions (ELS), KeHE Virtual and KeHE Direct business units. Where ELS was the integrated online store for over 700 brands. During his career, In the mid 2000’s, Walter was among the first to supply hundreds of CPG items for Amazon.com, as well as the first integrated and largest CPG drop ship supplier of Walmart.com. Some additional brands & banners Walter has partnered with are; Walgreens.com, Lipton.com, Publix.com, Quaker.com, Meijer.com, Hormel.com, GroupOn.com and GeneralMills.com to name a few.

In his time at LongTail, Walter has partnered with many key players in Amazon’s Grocery category and helped to engineer a summer shipping solution via “Vendor Fulfilled Prime”, that has shipped tens of thousands of orders per summer season to consumers. In addition to working with top eCommerce sales & marketing representation agencies and industry consultants, Walter has been a keynote speaker at the Specialty Food Association’s Specialty Food Business Summit, where he spoke with brands across the industry on the topic of  “Amazon: From Dock to Door”.

Brian Opyd

Brian has over 13 years of tech experience working in both North America and Europe. His experience ranges from building small, efficient, high performing tech delivery teams from scratch to large organizational change activities.  Brian has a deep background in CRM and the software development from implementation to on-going support.  This strong tech background is something that he is now applying to his work as General Manager at LongTail.

Kevin Farm
Kevin FarmBusiness Development

Kevin brings over a decade of Account Management experience to the Business Development role here at LongTail.  Kevin works closely with our clients during the prospecting phase of the onboarding process and with our head of sales to understand our client’s needs.  His attention to detail ensures that our clients are receiving the most accurate rate information.  His creative spirit guarantees that he will find solutions to our clients’ most challenging needs.

When not in the office, Kevin enjoys golfing some of Chicago’s most beautiful courses.

Iliyana Chap
Iliyana ChapClient Engagement Specialist

Iliyana describes herself as an exceptionally dedicated professional with keen interpersonal, communication, and organizational skills.  She brings more than 5 years of marketing experience in the consumer packaged goods industry to LongTail.

Iliyana hopes to help our partner brands grow their eCommerce and retail businesses by consistently exceeding our client’s expectations and performance goals, quickly adapting to ever-changing requirements, and achieving maximum operational output with minimal resource expenditure.

Samantha Fenske
Samantha FenskeClient Engagement Specialist

Samantha is our newest Client Engagement Specialist having joined LongTail in March of 2019.  With her degree in Education, Samantha has helped to train and develop on-boarding processes in her 6 years of eCommerce experience.  Having worked with Marketplaces such as Wayfair, Overstock, Home Depot and Lowes, Samantha understands how to organize and manage even the most complex of projects.  She finds there is nothing more satisfying than bringing order to chaos.

We look forward to her on-boarding experience that spans both the strategic and operational aspects of working with large dot com companies.
